"Yoga begins where I am -not where I was yesterday or where I long to be" -Linda SparroweMoonCoast yoga is excited to share that we are opening our doors beginning September 14th, 2020. This however, will look different than years prior due to Covid-19. We will be taking measures to keep both us and our students safe and healthy.
Starting on Tuesday, September 1st, we will taking on students who will need to preregister for their classes in 6 week increments. Our idea is to have a “bubble” for each class that will attend the same class once a week for a stretch of 6 weeks. There will be limited space for each class available as we practice the physical distancing rules.
Monday- it’s a vibe 7-8pm Get your stress out here, heal, breathe, love; this is a safe space that welcomes all community members. Walk into the MoonCoast studio for a more enhanced yoga session. This class is an all-levels class, beginner friendly where you can show up with whatever Monday vibes are following you and leave them all at the door. We’ll find movement, we’ll sit with our breath and we’ll let the stress fade away.allowing ourselves to "just be" all to the beat of soulful music and moving vibes.
Tuesday- Yin with Stacey 7-8pm Join Stacey for this style of yoga class that is designed to relieve stress and tension. This class incorporates a series of poses that are held for three to five minutes each. These long held poses are mostly floor based and passive — the goal is for the muscles to disengage. This class isn’t sweaty, but that doesn’t make it any less of a workout! If you find you are constantly busy, active, or always on the go; Yin will create a balance by tuning into to the sensations in your body. It’s designed to open your muscle fascia, boost range of motion, flexibility, as well as strengthen and lengthen muscles. Come find your edge, turn inward and experience a style of yoga that is for every body. *This practise benefits greatly from the use of props. Please bring a bolster (cushion or second yoga mat rolled), a foam block (a pillow), and a block (folded blanket or towel).
Wednesday - Parent and Baby: Mat and Chat with Cassie 9-10:15 Get out of the house to enjoy a beginner friendly flow for you and your little one (recommended for parents with newborn to pre-walking babies). Our yoga class will be 45 minutes of gentle movement (for both you and baby) followed by a half hour parent group where we welcome a safe space to chat about everyday parent struggles, learn new tips and of course have a laugh. Though postnatal concerns may be brought up, fathers and guardians are graciously welcomed (and encouraged) to this group; always a safe space for breastfeeding too 🤍
Wednesday - Yoga Evolve with Sarah 7-8pm This class is the perfect mid and end week pick me up. Each week we will connect with our breath and flow through a series of postures to help strengthen the muscles, open the body and release some stress. You will feel both challenged by the practice and blissed out with a long savasana making it the perfect addition to your week . This is an intermediate class with some yoga experience required.
Thursday - kickstart with Lynn 9-10:15am The perfect kickstart to your day! This is a well-rounded 75 minute class that begins with a solid warm-up, moves into a juicy sweat-inducing flow...then winds down to a gentle close. Its a win-win, one-stop shopping yoga experience!
Saturday - Rise and Shine Begin your day with intention with mindful breathing in this gentle flow class. This foundational class is perfect for beginners looking to start a yoga practice, and great for all level yogis looking to enhance or build on their practice and poses structurally. With brief intention setting for the day, a gentle wakeup flow with a focus on yoga foundations, and ending the class with a relaxation wind down, you will leave ready to take on your day. If your wondering what could possibly make the weekend any better, come check out this class.
please note* if you are planning on purchasing a 6 week class you can only attend that one class (ex. If you purchase 6 weeks of “it’s a vibe” class you CANNOT supplement that class for a “Yin with Stacey”.)

Some new rules for our MoonCoast Loft that may look a little different than before: wear a mask when entering and leaving the building / when getting water or using washroom you may wear a mask during class but are not required to do so please enter through the main door and exit through the fire escape (upstairs and back room) only one person is permitted on the stairway at a time wash hands before and after class/ use hand sanitizer available on site our props will not be available for loan so please bring your own or purchase ours at the studio please bring your own mat as we will not have any to loan out at this time there will be no hands-on adjustments/assists by teachers please remove footwear downstairs but bring your footwear with you up to studio no loitering after class (if you’re outside fill your boots) 💛if you or anyone in your immediate bubble is unwell, experiencing symptoms of Covid or waiting on a Covid test/result we ask you do not attend your class 💛if you have travelled outside the Atlantic bubble we kindly ask you wait 2 weeks before visiting us.
